Registration Period Closing Soon for November 2-3 Atlanta Writer Conference

Registration will close on November 1st. We still have some open seats for the following activities:

– Nov. 2nd Editor Q&A Panel at 12:30 p.m. with all six acquisition editors from major publishing houses, including Simon & Schuster, Penguin Random House, HarperCollins, Amazon, and others. Get your questions answered about the current and future state of the industry.

– Nov. 2nd Author Website Workshop at 4:00 p.m. focused on how to build and maintain a website to promote you and your current/upcoming books. If you already have an active author website, this workshop will show you how to improve it, to keep visitors on your site longer, gather their contact information, and ensure they respond to your calls for action (i.e., purchase your book, sign up for your newsletter, download a free chapter, etc.). Moreover, during the final quarter of the workshop, presenter Ricky Jones will critique your website if you want him to, so you can go home with specific improvements to implement.

– Nov. 3rd Agent Q&A Panel at 9:00 a.m. with all seven literary agents actively selling their authors’ work and seeking new clients. They will answer your questions about the writer’s changing role in the publishing industry and dealing with the additional marketing and publicity responsibilities that have shifted to the writer.

– Also, some agents and editors have short waitlists for pitches on Nov. 3rd, and you can register for two of these (no charge for waitlists unless you get a spot)

See the tabs above for full conference details, pricing, location, etc.

If you want to get on any pitch waitlists, write to awconference@gmail.com with all the agents and/or editors who  are a good fit, and Atlanta Writers Conference Director George Weinstein will advise you about who has the shortest queues. Please write to George, too, if you need help with your registration–he can sign you up and send you an online payment link.
